Add a modern interpretation of a historical slogan to your collection with the M16 Come and Take It patch. This 3 × 2-inch embroidered patch uses hook backing for attachment to a compatible loop panel.
The historical slogan
“Come and Take It” is associated with the October 2, 1835 confrontation at Gonzales, Texas. Residents refused a demand to return a cannon supplied by Mexican authorities, and the familiar flag tradition pairs the challenge with a cannon and a star.
A modern rifle adaptation
This M16 design is a modern adaptation, not a reproduction of the 1835 cannon flag. The rifle motif belongs to a different era and changes the visual context of the slogan. It should not be presented as a weapon depicted on the original Gonzales banner.
Today, rifle versions of “Come and Take It” are often associated with gun-rights advocacy and refusal to surrender arms. A wearer may choose the patch for that meaning, an interest in the slogan's history, or another personal reason. The design does not establish military service or affiliation.
